1987 Hardie-Iplex AMSCAR Series R1 Amaroo Park

Round 1 of the 1987 Hardie-Iplex AMSCAR Series was held on
Sunday, March 29 at Amaroo Park Raceway.

Consisting of 3 heats of 5, 10 and 15 laps, these races were
closely contested by Tony Longhurst, Trevor Ashby, Jim Richards
and Terry Finnigan.

Support races included:
Heat 2 of The Goodyear Owners Club Laser Vector Series,
Toledo Tools Sports Sedans Series and the
Coca-Cola Bottlers Formula Vee Series.

There was plenty of "between race" action including a
Round 1 of the World Touring Car Championship report
from Monza featuring Allan Moffat and John Harvey.
