HTC One M8 (Windows) Repair! Replacing Battery & Charge Port

Hey guys! In this video I am replacing the broken charge port and bad battery in this Windows HTC One M8 that I recently acquired.

I got this off of eBay for $20 and the seller noted that the charge port was finicky and would need to be charged at an angle to work. He/She was NOT wrong..

I had some success with this method, however it stopped charging altogether and I knew it needed a new charge port. When I open the phone up and removed the port, the MicroUSB connection completely broke off - no wonder it didn't work!

This phone has a weird design, but I was able to get it working normally (for the most part) I could not get the front camera working again and there is a small lump on the bottom of the phone. Being that this is just a collection phone, I did not mind these 2 issues, as long as it WORKED in the first place.
