How to use voice dictation with the type to Siri turned on

If type to siri is turned on and you need to use dication you can! Just tap the microphone on the onscreen keyboard and speak your question or query. If your using a third party keyboard like GBoard or Grammerly voice dictation is not avalable because Apple restricts access to the microphone.
