testing my iPhone XS front facing camera for video (an amateur vlog)

**Happy Wednesday! (Or whatever day of the week you're watching this ;D)

Please enjoy my amateur vlogging, just testing out using my iPhone XS to see how it faired in terms of a camera to use on the go. Are you impressed with the video quality, because I am! I feel the areas where improvement could be made reside with me, the user, which will come with time. All footage is using the front-facing camera except where otherwise noted ie. using the back-facing camera.

Note: I experienced some unforeseen issues when trying to edit the iPhone .MOV files in Adobe Premiere Pro, which is obviously relevant if you're watching this and thinking of using your iPhone to vlog, so I will detail here. The files imported fine but when editing in the Premiere Pro 'Sequence', the footage was glitchy and impossible to edit in this way. From what I could research, it could be the variable frame rate that the iPhone shoots at, rather than a fixed frame rate that (all?) cameras utilise. A suggested workaround was to convert the .MOV files to .mp4 using the free program Handbrake, which I did, but didn't end up using those files. Strangely, when I closed and re-opened the project in Premiere Pro it would work fine ie. it would play the .MOV files normally. Then sometimes it began to get glitchy again and I would just close and re-open the program for it to be fine again. Weird! If it was the variable frame rate of the videos, my internet research indicated that sometime in 2018 Adobe fixed this and Premiere Pro was able to handle variable frame rate video, so I am not 100% on the root cause of the issue here. I had filmed using the iPhone settings of "High Efficiency" (HEIF/HEVC format) rather than "Most Compatible" (JPEG/H.264 format) which I have now changed to the latter for future videos and will see if this helps.

Hence uploading only now on Wednesday. Let me know what you think! I'm excited to be able to do on-the-go videos to mix things up from sit-down videos :) I'm sure I will get better with wielding my phone as a camera, and upgrading to a newer model phone with a wider-angle will help this also.
