Pomp and splendour: Queen delivers last speech of this Parliament

The Queen delivered her last speech of the current Parliament on the 4th June 2014, before the upcoming general election in May 2015. Addressing the House of Lords at the State Opening of Parliament she outlined the coalition government's agenda for the coming year - it's final year in power. The speech focused on pensions , with changes to annuities and workplace schemes, and revealed that voters will get limited powers to boot out misbehaving MPs, while fracking firms will be given new drilling rights.
