Ida is currently a Category 2 hurricane with 115 mph sustained winds, after making landfall as a Category 4. The storm has left the entire city of New Orleans without power (other than generators). It is not clear how long power will be out in the city. Ida is forecast to move north through Louisiana and then continue into Mississippi. Many incidents of flooding are being reported in Laplace, Jefferson Parish, and elsewhere.
