Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Egami established URUU Co., Ltd. after a career at a regional bank and software company. His mission is to spread the idea of finance which focuses more on the value than profit. In 2018, he established the Japanese Practitioners for Banking on Value (JPBV). It plays an important role in the development of sustainable financial business in Japan.

利益よりも価値を大切にする金融の普及、創発を生む対話のファシリテーション、その人らしさを開放するリーダーシップ教育、ワークショップ「エミー・ゼニ―ゲーム」などの事業を営んでいる。
2018年、日本における持続可能な金融ビジネスモデルを実現することを目的にJPBV「価値を大切にする金融実践者の会」を設立。
