cersei & jaime | "we belong together" (s1-8)

HD, small screen + headphones = magic:3

My babies. I started this video a LONG while ago, but then I was so mad with GOT's finale (in general) that I could not find it in myself to finish it. Well, here you go.

One thing for sure, their death scene was PERFECTLY acted. The acting was simply phenomenal.
On the plot side though... I hated how they ruined everyone's character development. And I hated how they had Jaime have a one night stand with Brienne. It made zero sense; he respected Brienne so much that he would have never taken her virginity and left her heartbroken (I believe he didn't view her romantically at all; it was more of a friendship/respect type of relationship). Fan service.

Cersei has always been the one. Are they toxic? Most definitely. But she's the love of his life.
I am failing to see how many thought he left Brienne to kill her. Jaime's developed, but his fundamental priority has always been his family. "Everything I did was for my house and my family, and I'd do it all over again", "Fuck everyone who isn't us" and "we're the only ones who matter in this world" -- yes, Jaime has developed and he loathes himself for the "hateful" things he's done, but it doesn't mean he's ever truly stopped loving Cersei. And she was with his child, too. "You love her, you really do love her. She will be the end of you."

And Cersei might be seriously hateful, but she didn't force Jaime to throw Bran out of the window -- he did it himself. She wasn't even around when he's done everything he's done to get back to her. And I'm pretty sure he realizes it -- that's why he doesn't believe he's a good person. And that's why Jaime would have always chosen his family and Cersei over "justice" and the common people (look how that turned out). I don't see either of them as good or bad. Cersei can't be blamed for all Jaime's wrongs (he is a grown man who makes his own decisions), and she herself is not pure evil. She has had many psychological traumas from childhood and on to Robert and losing her children. With the way she was brought up, it only makes sense she doesn't care much about strangers but would kill for her family. She hasn't even done anything (unlike Dany who was perceived a hero) involving many deaths up until burning the sept (and by that point she's lost two of her kids and has suffered from this sparrow crap), and even that can't compete with Daenerys' dracarys. Besides that, she was only after her enemies. And while we were meant to sympathize with Starks, they were at war. It's medieval times. My point is that both Jaime and Cersei are very complex characters, and I don't think either of them is good or bad; I, however, can definitely relate to their protectiveness of family.

It made so much sense that Jaime came back for her. They were meant to be born together and die together. It was always how their story was supposed to end -- together (but bricks, seriously?).

I totally and completely hated the plot of season 8, but I do believe their death was the best thing in the whole finale (again, bricks aside). The way how broken Cersei was, being unable to save yet another child... Having this slow relation that they won't make it drown on her is, in Cersei's case, way more "cruel" than Arya getting her revenge.

ANYWAYSSS, I love the two. And I tried to show their relationship and characters from different angles.
Fortunately or not, I own nothing but the editing.
