Kazuo Ishiguro | The Buried Giant

Recorded Mar 20, 2015

“Expressive and harmonic, delicate yet substantive” (Christian Science Monitor), Kazuo Ishiguro is the author of seven renowned novels, including A Pale View of Hills, When We Were Orphans, Never Let Me Go, and the Booker Prize-winning The Remains of the Day. The latter two books were adapted into popular and acclaimed films. In 1995 he received an Order of the British Empire for service to literature and in 1998 was named a Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Artes et Lettres by the French government. In The Buried Giant, Ishiguro’s first novel in nearly a decade, a couple journeys across an uneasy landscape in search of their erstwhile son.
