The bath pouf goes by a few different names, such as body scrubby, loofah, bath sponge, and shower sponge. But whatever you'd like to call it, I think we can all agree that it's a wonderful product to have... and having it handmade with love is just 10x better!

Awesome things about this design is that it's super easy and beginner-friendly, with only THREE ROUNDS of crocheting, using the basic stitches of chain, single crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch! And, can you believe it takes only 45 minutes to make one? A pretty sweet deal to me!

The bath pouf takes up less than one skein of Lily Sugar n' Cream yarn. I used the 'Camomile' color, which is actually in Lily Sugar n' Cream's "scented" series...and it smells absolutely heavenly and calming! I'm also very glad I chose this 100% cotton yarn because it feels so durable, and I think it worked beautifully for a loofah.

I must point out that this bath pouf would make an excellent gift for so many occasions! It's great as a Mother's Day gift, birthday gift, end-of-the-year Teacher Appreciation gift, retirement gift, or a "just because" gift for anyone who could use a pick-me-up. Maybe you have a coworker or colleague you'd like to thank? Gift them with a cute bar of soap or sweet body wash, and who wouldn't love that?! Bath poufs can also be great items to sell at a crafts fair, too.
