How to go from Vivids to Blonde
Hey guys!
In this video, I'll be showing how I remove vivid colors from my hair and go back to a bleached blonde. In my hair, I had leftover Pravana Vivids colors. This was the first time trying a clear gloss + developer to remove dye and the results were amazing! This is definitely my go to from now on.
If you only want to see the color removal process, skip to 3:14.
Thanks for watching!

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a final look. If I were to stay blonde, I would normally tone will wella t18 and a 20 vol developer, but since I am going straight to a different vivid color after this, there really was no point in further damaging my hair.
Also, I realize that my roots are a bit darker than the rest of my hair; I decided that since it would not be a big issue in my next hair color and I wanted to minimize damage, I wouldn't mind slightly darker roots. BUT, if I wanted to keep them platinum blonde, I would have let my hair rest, then go back and bleach the roots again but this time with a 20 vol.
SUPPLIES:
Roots:
Wella Blondor Powder Lightener
Salon Care 30 Volume Developer
(This called for a 1:2 ratio so I ended up using about 1.5 oz of bleach powder)
Color Removal:
Clairol Professionals Clear Mix Tone Demi Permanent Hair Color
Salon Care 20 Volume Developer
(this called for a 1:1 ratio and I used a little less than 2 tubes of the clear mix)
