The October Awakening

In the depths of the wilderness in Germany sat a young girl,
In the midst of October, her mind in a swirl,
Though her thoughts pondered on what may be;
Deep inside the institution, she was led to see.

The floorboards creaked on every step,
The institution slept as she followed in depth;
A twisted world of lies kept intact,
For generations to come and discover the impact.

The sound of glass split her ears,
As she followed the disaster of the years,
Yet as the final door creaked,
She did not realise what she had unleashed.
