"I love these weekly talks but this one really resonated with me. The importance of relationship with my dogs is everything to me. But when Jerri mentioned projecting our emotions and fears and state of being onto our dogs, I really locked in. I got my dog Stewart bc I wanted to train a service dog for a puppy. Which is incredibly ambitious for a first time puppy guardian. I had zero clue what I was doing and it wasn’t until Stewart was already 2 that I found Jerri and my way into this force free training and let me tell you this approach is a million times better for bichons in particular. My little guy loves training now and before he looked miserable with me. But back on topic, I was adamant about trying to make sure I didn’t project my anxiety and fear onto my dogs and in doing so I was able to start leaving my house a bit more. Last year me and Stewart went on a trip/adventure every month. I took him to Cabo for his birthday so we could enjoy the beach together. Shot I even faced a fear and helped a turtle to safety the other day. I’m rambling but all and all I love following you guys and listening to your train of thought. And Denise I’m sorry but you ARE DEFINITELY an expert lol."
