I've never found much success from starting the year with new year's resolutions. I've always found my energy levels to be a bit low starting off the year and the chances of me failing with the mountain of new ambitions that I bring into the year is very high. It's important to realize that the start of a year is a pretty stressful time. Often we have baggage that we are bringing over from the previous year and to try and dedicate time to creating a conducive headspace for new goals while simultaneously trying to achieve those goals is a bit too much to ask. I found that leaving room in January and February to slowly get things going gives me a much better chance of achieving the goals I’ve set for the year. Hopefully this video can frame my head space going into 2023.
