Death From Above: An Inside Look at US Army Forward Observers

Members of the 82nd Airborne 1st Brigade Combat Team discuss what it is like to be a fire support specialist and what the job means to them. The fire support specialist is primarily responsible for the intelligence activities of the Army’s field artillery team. He is responsible for communications systems, as he aids in the preparation of fire support plans. In a nutshell, these guys relay battlefield information for artillery strikes and close air support to aid the infantry they are with.

This video was produced by the United States Air Force's 1st Combat Camera Squadron with the help of the Army's 82nd Airborne Division.
