We used the 300mm F4 lenses during our trip to Costa Rica trip and could not have been happier with the purchase. We bought the 300mm f4 second hand for $600. It was hardly used and the glass was flawless. The 70-300mm was bought with a brand new 6d for $1200. Buying second-hand can sometimes be risky but for less than half the price of a new lens and camera and from a trusted seller, it was well worth it.
