Installation Of Gas Lift Cylinders For RV Bed Lift

How I installed a set of gas lift cylinders to enable access to the under bed storage in our RV.
All my information, specifications etc. was obtained from Hatchlift.com
If it hadn't been for the cost of international shipping, I would have bought a kit from Hatchlift. In the U.S. You would get better quality for less than I paid by buying the individual components. In the long run, I'm still pretty happy with how it turned out. The biggest obstacle was finding the "sweet spot" to locate the cylinders. This took some trial and error. Make sure to reinforce what you are fastening the cylinder brackets to, so that it's strong enough to take the added stress. I used 120# X 20" cylinders, as specified for an application like mine on Hatchlift.com. Your application may be different.
