When reality is better than expectations | Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

They say travel is the one thing you buy that makes you richer and Sarajevo is the perfect example of this. The city was never on our bucket list and, to be perfectly honest, we came to Bosnia and Herzegovina simply because travel restrictions meant we didn't have many other options when leaving Egypt. We travelled with low expectations and didn't know too much about the city and it's history except for some childhood memories of the war. Almost instantly we fell in love. Each day we would explore the streets before spending most evenings watching documentaries and learning it's history. The city where East meets West is a gem, full of culture and hidden in plain sight.
