Fixing My Nikon 50mm 1.4 AI-S Lens

My 30-year-old Nikon 50mm f/1.4 AI-S lens suffered from a problem all too common for this lens: diaphragm lubricating oil smearing onto the aperture blades causing them to stick together. Since the repair looked pretty simple, and the lens was toast anyway, I decided to see if I could bring it back to usable condition.
