Kiama Picnic Train, Saturday 30 July 2016. - arrival

The Lachlan Valley Railway from Cowra runs an occasional tourist trip train from Sydney to Kiama on the NSW South Coast. They use a 59 class NSW steam locomotive and period carriages. I was able to video its arrival at Kiama on Saturday 30 July 2016.

The train load of people (booked out!) have time to descend upon the nearby heart of Kiama, have a picnic in the park, dine at local cafes and restaurants and enjoy the beautiful view. They may even be lucky enough to see migrating humpback whales in the ocean nearby. The trip on the train along the coast would have some of the best ocean views in Australia and also travels through the world's second oldest national park - Royal National Park.

All done with a Panasonic Lumix TZ-30 compact camera.
