Jackson State University's College of Health Sciences offers the first and only Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree program in Mississippi.

The College of Health Sciences academic programs include four departments – Behavioral and Environmental Health, Communicative Disorders, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health Policy and Management/Healthcare Administration — and a School of Social Work. The College offers the Bachelor of Science (Communicative Disorders, Healthcare Administration, and Social Work); Master of Science in Communicative Disorders; Master of Public Health; Master of Social Work; Doctor of Public Health; and Ph.D. in Social Work.
