The Inconvenient Truth about your Electro-Voice ZLX-12P & ZLX15P amplifier
A 210 x 2 watt Peak chip can't give you 1000 watts.
To find the peak from RMS you multiply the RMS by 1.414 which is the square root of 2.
To find the RMS from the peak, you multiply the peak by 0.707.
THD = 10 %; RL = 4 Ω - 210 - WATTS Peak x 2.
A MASSIVE 10% DISTORTION with each half of the amp driving a 4 ohm load.
If you want 0.5 % distortion, the peak power comes down to 160 watts x 2.
Oh yes, that is the SPEC of the chip at +/- 41 Volts.
You DO NOT have +/- 41 volts, you have 36v on a good day!

READ THE DATA SHEET.
The audio signal has a crest factor of 10 (the ratio between peak power and average
power (20 dB); this means that the average output power is 1⁄10 of the peak power.
Thus, the peak RMS output power level is the 0.5 % THD level, i.e. 92.5 W per channel.
The average power is then 1⁄10 × 92.5 W = 9.25 W per channel
