Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) results after experiencing or witnessing a terrifying event which later leads to mental health problems. During World War 2 or later, many soldiers suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder due to experiencing terrible events on the battlefield.
In addition to mental disorders, physical damage occurred to the victims of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki nukes. They experienced many disorders including cancer, blindness, burns, and others.
Although World War 2 ended in 1945, its devastating effects are still felt even decades later.
