Recently, a global poll was conducted in which people from various countries were asked whether Donald Trump is a positive figure for their nation. Shockingly, 84% of Indians said yes. But is this really the case?

America has been the world’s largest economy for the past 135 years. But holding such a powerful title wasn’t just about hard work — it was also about clever and exploitative strategies. No matter what war is going on, America always thinks about its own profits first.

Let’s talk about a recent example — the so-called "peace deal" involving minerals between the U.S. and Ukraine. Donald Trump, the President of America, reportedly asked Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to give 50% of Ukraine’s natural resources to the U.S. in exchange for continued support and aid. When Zelensky refused and asked for a ceasefire guarantee from Russia, Trump labelled him a dictator and told him to "move fast or he’s not going to have a country left."

This kind of deal sounds more like a mafia boss demanding protection money than a diplomatic negotiation. It clearly shows how exploitative America’s approach can be.

Later, Zelensky visited the Oval Office to discuss the matter. But we all saw how disrespectful and arrogant the Trump administration was — as if they were talking to just a random person. Trump even threatened Zelensky directly. And when Zelensky didn’t agree, he was thrown out of the Oval Office. Is this the behaviour of a responsible world leader? Absolutely not.

It seems like Trump is taking revenge or holding a personal grudge against Zelensky. Let’s not forget — Trump was impeached in 2019 and lost the 2020 election after his controversial phone call with Zelensky was leaked, in which he pressured him to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

This isn’t the first time America has tried to exploit another country. History shows a long record of betrayal and manipulation — even with their allies, whom they pretend to treat as close friends, only to use them for their own profits and exploitation.

In the Russia-Ukraine war, while both countries are suffering deeply, America is making massive profits — just like they always do. They’ve made billions selling weapons to Ukraine and European nations. They also pressured Europe to buy expensive oil and gas from the U.S. instead of Russia. The global demand for the U.S. dollar has also increased, with many countries switching from Russian rubles to dollars.

America follows a pattern: first, they build strong relationships with countries — and then, when those countries are in need or falling apart, they take full advantage. It’s a repeating cycle of friendship, dependency, and exploitation.
