Pupating caterpillar spins a COCOON - Time Lapse!!!!

Spotted this caterpilla spinning a web on our patio counter. So i took a time lapse of this little guy tucking himself in (pupating) for winter or until he is ready to complete his transformation...

This Barred Eggarlet caterpilla is definitly familiar to me here in South Africa but i have never seen one getting ready to form a cocoon.

What should we name him?
