Paul Revere & the Raiders on Hollywood Palace TV - 1966
Paul Revere & the Raiders, iconic rock and roll band from the 1960's, appear on Hollywood Palace in late 1966 with host Ray Bolger, the famous scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz. The Raiders play "The Great Airplane Strike" which is based on fact when all planes are grounded forcing the Raiders to bus their way to their next gig, but also providing a story line for this original song. The Raiders featured here are: Jim Harpo Valley, Phil Fang Volk, Mike Smitty Smith, Mark Lindsay and Paul Revere. The Raiders hold the title of having more television airings in the decade of the 60's then any other rock band in history, over 750 airings.
