This is my homage to you, Vince.

One of the first bucketilations I ever made on this channel was back in July 2017, just 3 years ago. You were still on the Grizzlies and everyone watching had no idea how much longer you could play. I'm sure you caught most of us by surprise though when you ended up playing until 43. And honestly.. your veteran leadership is so valuable that it's possible you could've lasted another year or two.

Vince, your love for the game is an inspiration for everyone, everywhere. You are a household name. People who don't watch the NBA should know or have heard of your name at least once.

In all honesty, I'm a relatively new basketball fan. I've only been watching the NBA for about 5 or 6 years now. But watching the last basket you ever put up -- even if we didn't know it at the time -- almost made me cry. There will never be another Vince Carter. No one will ever be like you. You are the one and only, half-man, half-amazing, Vinsanity. Enjoy retirement, big fella.
