Crash Landings 3: Lakebed B-1B

The clay surface of Rogers Dry Lake at Edwards AFB has minimized damage and loss for many aircrews in trouble with malfunctioning aircraft. This fascinating Air Force footage shows a B-1B Lancer from Dyess AFB, Texas, that diverted to Edwards to land on the huge lakebed with its nose gear unextended, on 4 October 1989.
