AEGEAN AIRLINES - FLIGHT REVIEW | Mediocre Economy Class (Airbus A320 - Venice to Athens)

Leaving from Venice, Katie and I flew Aegean Airlines on the Airbus A320 - Venice to Athens. It was a pretty mediocre economy class experience. People have rated it as one of the better, but we have to disagree from our experience over the years. We try not to be negative, but the seating and comfort level was pretty basic, even compared to some of the cheaper airlines we've flown over the years.
This flight report and aegean airlines flight review breaks down our experience and thoughts on the flight itself. It was a total gongshow loading the plane and we usually try to get there early and board early, but we were stuck in line for SO long waiting to get on the plane. It ended up over an hour late on top of the already 1 hour delay before boarding. Overall just not a great experience, which could have some part to do with the airport itself (Venice airport is a bit crazy).
We flew aegean airlines Venice to Athens on the Airbus 320 in economy class. They gave us the option to upgrade to business class for a price and we maybe should have taken it, as economy was really not very comfortable. But the flight was already quite expensive, so it was all in all not a great experience - COMPARED to other airlines we've flown.
