Here is a high scoring all clear run of Taito's 1991 experimental shmup, Metal Black.
Originally planned as a sequal to Darius 2, and worked on by the Gun Frontier team.

Metal Black contains one of the best soundtracks of all time, and has amazing detailed graphics for its time. However the gameplay isn't equally good.

In Metal Black, you pilot the Black Fly, as you aim to stop the end of the Earth, and to take it back from the aliens.
The ship powers up by collecting the alien molecules, called Newalone, which can be used as a bomb or a laser bomb.
Even though your ship is meant to be very powerful, it is really really bad. Not only is the ship very slow, but it also shoots straight forward, has no options or angled shots, and the ship has a huge hitbox.
The laser/bomb you use, uses up all of your power, putting it back to level 1 after every usage.
