Jay Scheevel Jabiru powered Tri-Q
My apologies to Jay for mispronouncing his name. Jay may have the record for the longest time to build his Quickie, but what a job he did! You can visit his website here: http://n8wq.scheevel.com/
Here are his comments:
"I enjoyed my building process and am glad that I put all that stuff in there. The prolonged periods of non-building really paid off in that I did not rush into any modification and had time to really study and engineer things properly (and sometimes even build it twice!). That is probably the best way to go about any changes one plans to make, rather than rush into it.
"All of the mods and additional stuff all works as intended and really adds to the flying pleasure for me anyway. Not for everyone, but after all, we all build experimental planes to be our own, so why not take advantage, right? I certainly had the advantage of learning from everyone in the Q-community over the years and then putting my own spin on things."
