In preparation for the 2019 Rugby World Cup, we're going to review the history of key rugby nations by reacting to each team's top players and matches.

Of course we're starting with the New Zealand All Blacks, and Richie McCaw's unique place in rugby history made him the ideal first candidate. Widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby players ever, McCaw actually met with controversy when originally selected to the All Blacks in 2001 as an inexperienced 20 year old.

McCaw was named man of the match in his debut foreshadowing the great career to come.
