BEFORE Laserdisc There Was TeD
A technology that didn't make it to the USA, the Telefunken Television Electronic Disc arrived on the scene in 1975, long before Laserdisc. Similar to CED and VHD in that it was a Video Record read by a stylus. In this video, we explore the history of the format, how I made it work on US voltage standards, demo playback and take it apart and see it's insides. The German name for this technology is Bild Plattenspieler.
