Very often I find people asking about the proper way to set the depth and position of a torque converter so the tranny can be bolted to the engine correctly. If not done right, the pump and/or converter can easily be damaged. It's very simple to do it right. This clip shows me installing an AOD to a 5.0L however the same method is used on most other Ford rear drive transmissions.
