All good things come to those who wait

#short

All good things come to those who wait
The meaning of this saying is essentially that if you are patient, eventually you will achieve your goal, whatever it may be. The saying is said to be of French origins and entered usage in the United States during the nineteenth century, possibly having been translated into English within the centres of French settlement in North America around Louisiana or Canada. Typically the expression is used in America as a way of suggesting that those who persevere with something are eventually rewarded in the end. So, for instance, if you are doing a long, three or four year university course, it might seem like a lot of hard work, but the reward will be worth it in the end. In that instance someone might say of your endeavour, “All good things come to those who wait.”
