1955 Cadillac Eldorado St. Moritz Motorama show car at the 10,000 Lakes Concours d’Elegance.

The original 1955 Motorama show car disappeared in March 1955 after the Detroit Auto Show. This is an exact recreation of that car completed with lots of research and photos from The Cadillac Archives. It includes mouton fur carpets and ermine fur seats as well as lots of custom items made specifically for this car like a lady’s makeup compact and compartment in the passenger’s door. This car was a standard Eldorado that was taken from the line and modified by the Art and Color Studio for the Motorama as a mood car. The original car was shown January 20, 1955, in the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and after the show in March at the Detroit Auto show the car was never seen again. It is believed that it was sent back and restored to its original factory configuration and sold, or it destroyed.
