I fed a panda and it was the best day of my life.

Chengdu was by far my favorite city! The first activity was eating Sichuan style hot pot! The inner ring was the spicy broth, and it kept boiling over into the non-spicy broth! We were all dying from the spice. Visiting Deyang High School was super interesting. We got to learn about the Chinese school system and talk to the students! I was also surprised about how delicious their school lunches are. Even though we had to clean the panda enclosures before we were allowed to feed them, I would do it all again!

I went on a 12-day trip to China along with my Chinese teacher and seven other students from my high school. Our tour guide, Ruby, accompanied us the entire journey, and in each city, we had a local guide. We traveled to Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi’an, and Beijing. The purpose of this trip was to practice our Chinese and experience Chinese culture firsthand.
