BMW 1200GS/RT Alternator Belt Replacement

Changing the Alternator Belt every 24,000 miles or every 6 years on a BMW with a boxer engine may seem a little daunting. Your Haynes manual will say you need BMW tool 12 3 591 and that would be wonderful if you can find one and spend £150-£200! However there is another way....buy a tap wrench and a 6mm tap. (£5.71 for a wrench and 5 taps on Amazon for instance!) and watch this video. You can do this yourself.....
