When The Night's Over - Julius Trombino (Tribute Cover)

This was the first song I heard by Julius, and my favorite one.
Julius Trombino came into my life when I was 11 or 12 years old. His father and my mother have been friends since they were very, very young. I had just gotten my first guitar and was fumbling around writing my own songs when my mom told me about her friend's son who wrote his own music and was in bands. My mom and I were some of Julius's biggest fans. But the moment I watched that first video, a video of him playing this song on his acoustic guitar with his hoodie and long hair, a light went on in my head. And after seeing him play for the first time, in a firehouse in New Jersey, I knew exactly who I was meant to be. He was a natural musician, an incredible frontman, but more than that, he became an unforgettable friend. He was like family. We wrote a song together and recorded it once, and I only wish I would have known how important that moment would end up being. As my music career picked up, he never failed to support me which, as one of his biggest fans, meant the entire universe to me. He came to see me play at Warped Tour this summer and had a smile that lit up the entire state of Florida that day. But what will stick with me forever was something that was told to me after his passing. His best friend, Niki, reached out to me and told me how he had called me after coming to see me play that day and said how "proud he was that one of us made it." I will never forget you, Julius. Thank you for being my inspiration, my support, and my family.
