This was my thought the first time I heard this interview between two of my favorite people: Fred Rogers and Diane Rehm. Diane later said this was her most touching interview. She recorded this conversation in December 2002 about a year before Mr. Roger passed on.

Fred Rogers dedicated his life to serving children. He was a pioneer in educational television and a PBS icon. His show “Misters Rogers’ Neighborhood” ran for decades. In this December 2002 interview, Diane Rehm spoke with Rogers about his parenting book "The Mr. Rogers' Parenting Book" his career, and the importance of fostering self-esteem at an early age.
