🖥️ Terminal Setup
sudo apt install gphoto2
sudo apt install ffmpeg
sudo apt install v4l-utils

📷 Camera Setup
On camera:
- Press the Live View Shooting button

In camera menu:
- Grid Display → Off
- Auto Power Off → Off
- Press Info button to hide overlays

On lens:
- Set Focus Mode Switch to AF
- Half-press shutter to autofocus

🔍 Check Camera is Detected (Linux)
ls /dev/video*
v4l2-ctl --list-devices

▶️ Test Camera Feed
ffplay /dev/video0

🎬 OBS Setup
1. Install and open OBS
2. Add Source → Video Capture Device (V4L2)
3. Settings:
- Device: USB Video: USB Video (usb-0000:08:00.4-2)
- Video Format: BGR3 (emulated) — smoothest option
- Color Range: Full
4. Transform → Edit Transform:
- Left: 100px
- Right: 100px
- Top: 50px
- Bottom: 150px

⚙️ Magic Lantern Settings
- Clear Overlays → Always (removes white AF box)
- Dual ISO
- RAW video - ON
- Spotmeter - Percent, AFbox (display brightness from a small spot)
- Histogram - RAW RGB, Log
💡 Tips
- To remove AF box without Magic Lantern: Canon menu → Live View → enable face tracking
