AECHMEA FASCIATA PROPAGATION | Roots formation, care conditions

Aechmea - a genus in the subfamily Bromelioideae, is one of the most widely grown groups of Bromeliads.

Representatives of the genus, depending on the species, can be both epiphytic, and terrestrial plants. Among other bromeliad plants, aechmea is distinguished by the presence of spines on the edges of the leaf plate. The leaves are collected in a rosette, can be either monophonic or colorful, they are dense and hard or leathery, but soft. The fruit of aechmea is a berry.

The indoor plant aechmea propagates vegetatively in the beginning of spring - it is necessary to separate more developed offspring, which can be quickly rooted. The site of the cut should be powdered with charcoal powder, so that the plant does not start to rot.
