Zamioculcas zamiifolia is a beautiful interior plant, whose English name is Aroid Palm, Arum Fern. It is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae. This species is found naturally in the tropical and subtropical climates of East Africa; in southeastern Africa, in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), Tanzania (including Pembie and Zanzibar) and Zimbabwe.

In the wild, this plant is a shrub, evergreen, herbaceous plant that can reach a height of 30-100 cm. However it will drop its leaves in the summer. Temperature, humidity: This is a plant that tolerates relatively high temperatures. The optimal temperature is room temperature between 25-27oC. If the temperature is below 18oC, the tree will drop leaves and fall into a dormant state. If the temperature is below 5oC, the fortune needle will die. The plant grows well in both low humidity and high humidity.

Water: Although it is a succulent plant, this plant is poorly drought tolerant. Requires moderate, regular watering. Avoid watering too much, causing root rot, root rot, stem rot, causing plant death. If growing in an air-conditioned room, the amount of water must be reduced significantly.

Propagation: Can be propagated in spring by seed, bush division or common leaf cuttings. Sowing seeds has the highest seedling production rate, but it is very difficult to obtain the seeds of the fortune needle. Separating dust is also a good way, but it takes a lot of work. For leaf cuttings, although the leaves can be decomposed into organic fertilizer, the rate of growth into seedlings is very high. When cutting leaves, pay attention to moisten gritty and apply a small bag of polythene.
