How to Weed and Apply Vinyl Using Transfer Tape - Decals Made With Cricut Explore or Silhouette

Cutting vinyl with the Cricut Explore is very easy, but weeding it and applying it to a surface can be confusing.

After cutting this vinyl decal with the Cricut Explore One, I weeded it help from an exacto knife. It's important to do it slowly and to be patient.

Then I used Cricut Transfer Tape to put the vinyl onto a wooden picture frame. Sometimes it is called application tape, but it does the same thing.

I give you tips on how to get the letters straight and lined up, and I will tell you about the different types of vinyl for cutting with the Cricut Explore and Silhouette Cameo.

I used Oracal 651 in silver for this project. I ordered it from Expressions Vinyl. They have a good selection of colors, fast shipping, and you can order small quantities at a reasonable price.
