Spirituality VIII : The Spirituality of a Religious
We reflect on the call to Religious to follow Jesus more fully and more nearly (Vatican II: Perfectate Caritatis #1). The core of the Spirituality of a Religious is to live the Gospel fully through a life of consecration to the Lord through the 3 vows of Poverty, Chastity, and Obedience. Religious serve the Church and World by offering to both concrete models of following Jesus, being prophetic in challenging both the Church and the world to live the Gospel and finally offering the witness of Community living which is the heart of the Gospel.
