Collins Earthworks Nailstone Colliery Remediation Project

I visited Collins Earthworks remediation project of the former Nailstone Colliery in Leicestershire in September 2019. The Colliery was established in 1895 and closed in 1991. The site will be transformed into a new logistics centre, creating up to 1000 new jobs.

Collins currently have 650 items of heavy equipment, including 40 Caterpillar dozers, 4 Cat scrapers, 120 Volvo Excavators and 80 Volvo ADT's, of which 7 are the 55 tonne payload A60H's
