Assassin's Creed III, released in 2012, is set in the American Northeast from 1754 to 1783 during the Seven Years' War and American Revolutionary Wars. The game follows two main characters: Haytham Kenway, a Templar, and Ratonhnhaké:ton, his Assassin grandson, also known as Connor. The story intertwines with the American Revolution, with Templars and Assassins present in both Colonial and British camps. Meanwhile, Desmond and the Assassins attempt to stop Abstergo from launching a doomsday satellite in the present day.
