Barely & Hardly [How to Use Barely and Hardly]

In this video, learn how to use "barely" and "hardly" in English. Both "barely" and "hardly" are adverbs and they have the same meaning when they're used in the context of "only just" or "by the smallest amount".

You'll learn correct sentence structure and see lots of example sentences using barely and hardly.

"Hardly" can also be used to mean "certainly not". In this case, you must use "hardly" and you can't use "barely".

This is a more advanced use of the word and it's not as common.
