A Kandid Konversation with a 99 year-old Inspiration!

Viewers you are in for a treat! Meet my dear friend of 4 years and Spelman sister, Ms. Annie J. Moore! Ms. Annie will be turning 100 next year...can we say #blessed! She wears her real hair still and gets it done religiously, has 20/20 vision, is as fly as they come (check the cheetah), remembers everything, and is a true intellect to this day! While sitting and talking with her as I do often, I thought to record a mini interview on the spot on December 30, 2018! I try to tell people all the time about this amazing lady, but I’d rather everyone see for their selves! I’m in awe of her every time I leave, and am fortunate to have her in my life. Don’t just like, watch to be amazed as she talks about herself, love, tips to a long life, and her hopes for the future!

Ms. Annie Moore, is a 99 year young woman who is an Atlanta native and a 1943 graduate of Spelman College. I met Ms. Annie 4 years ago when I offered to take her home from a Spelman event, and we have been sister friends ever since. She was an economics major at Spelman, and is a former fashion designer who studied in NYC and Paris following Spelman. She ran her own fashion design company/clothing store in Detroit for 20 years launching in the 1950s. Ms. Annie is a pioneer! Can you imagine the strength and courage it took in the 1950’s to be a woman entrepreneur who decided to use her creative gifts for her career?...All at a time when segregation was prevalent and women business owners were not equally supported. Even to this day she keeps up to date with Vogue magazine, is active in the church and Spelman, and utilizes GRE words in her daily vocabulary. She is a wise, beautiful, intelligent woman who I am blessed to call my Spelman sister and most importantly my friend. Lets honor Ms. Annie and the legacy that she has created…and is still creating. Our elders, or pioneers shall I say, are so wise and its so important to love on them, learn from them, and truly appreciate them for their sacrifices that have helped pave the way for you and me. To our pioneers, we love you and thank you. Thank you Ms. Annie.
