Even crazier is that this vigorous engine was previously used in helicopters. The first generation of Y2K was equipped with a Rolls Royce-Allison gas turbine engine and, during demo runs, has clocked speeds up to 227 MPH and produced over 320 HP and 425 pound-foots of torque on Dyne Jet 200!

The Jet Blade's skis are submerged at rest while it floats in its hole when it's motionless. As soon as jet blade thrusts forward, the upward plane of the front two skis makes it easier to break through the surface, and once enough speed is gained, it can ride on top of the water.
